Aquarion Water Authority in Monroe, CT seeks a Supervisor, Water Quality Field Operations to lead the Sample Collection team and support reservoir management, ensuring regulatory compliance with EPA/DPH. You will supervise eight Water Quality Field Technicians and one Intern, coordinate with Supply Operations and Customer Service, and guide field investigations.

Requirements include at least five years in Water Quality or a water utility, a valid CT driver’s license, and proficiency with Excel,

Qualifications

B.S. in Environmental Science required.
M.S. in related field preferred.
Valid CT Driver’s License required.
Safe Boating/Personal Watercraft Operator License required.
Minimum five years’ experience in Water Quality or Water Utility function.
Working knowledge of water treatment chemistry and related monitoring procedures.
Excellent planning, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

Coordinate with Water Quality Management Team on compliance and customer service.
Support Reservoir Management program (26 reservoirs) with field monitoring and algae control.
Develop annual and monthly monitoring plans; manage weekly schedules and sample runs.
Oversee sample site selection and QA of sites; manage capital projects for samples.
Participate in weekly water quality reviews and emergency response rotations.
Provide staff for field investigations and contracted lab services.
Project manage assigned Water Quality Regulatory Compliance & Field Operations projects.
Assist with management of MA and NH systems as requested.
