Job summary

Aquarion Water Authority in Monroe, CT seeks a Supervisor, Water Quality Field Operations to plan, direct, and control the Sample Collection function and reservoir management across CT water systems. You will supervise eight Water Quality Field Technicians and an Intern, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective field investigations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Water Quality Management Team, supporting reservoir treatment projects, and providing 7-day, 24-hour emergency

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in Water Quality or Water Utility function.
• Working knowledge of water treatment chemistry and related monitoring procedures.
• Excellent planning, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, SAMS, GIS, LIMS, Agentry, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Water Quality Management Team on monitoring and compliance tasks.
• Support reservoir management activities and treatment for algae control.
• Develop monitoring plans and manage weekly schedules for CT water systems.
• Oversee sample collection, QA of sites, and capital project support.
• Participate in weekly water quality reviews and emergency response rotations.
• Assist in resolving customer water quality issues and coordinate with other departments.
