Job summary

HarbourVest Partners in Boston seeks a seasoned Vice President, Client Onboarding to lead the onboarding of institutional and private wealth clients across fund products. You will drive accurate, timely processes and partner across functions to deliver a superior client experience.

The role emphasizes client focus, operational excellence, and building high-performing teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment with a hybrid work model and quarterly remote days.

Qualifications

• Led client onboarding, investor operations, or client service teams in financial services.
• Strong client-first approach with onboarding excellence.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide the Client Onboarding team with coaching and performance evals.
• Manage daily onboarding for institutional and private wealth investors.
• Ensure onboarding activities meet timelines and standards.
• Monitor capacity, workload, and performance metrics.
• Serve as a resource for complex onboarding issues and vendor concerns.
• Coordinate onboarding activities with Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Marketing, and Custom Solutions.
• Review activities for policy, procedures, and regulatory adherence.
• Drive process improvements focusing on efficiency, risk, and service quality.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to monitor onboarding outcomes.
• Manage relationships with third-party administrators and external providers.
• Act as main contact for issues, exceptions, and new product launches.
