Job summary

Upgrade Resources is seeking a Virtual Designer in Austin, TX, a hybrid role combining in-office and remote work. The candidate will develop electrical shop drawings in Revit and coordinate BIM across disciplines under senior VDC guidance.

Candidates need 2+ years CAD drafting experience in commercial construction, Revit proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CAD drafting in commercial construction; electrical experience a plus.
• HS diploma or GED required; CAD degree or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit required.
• Experience with Navisworks/Revizto for clash detection.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specs; multi-projects.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models from field layouts using Revit and Navisworks.
• Perform BIM coordination and clash detection/resolution.
• Upload models and coordinate through sign-off with GC lead.
• Mentor Detailers in producing detailed shop drawings.
• Maintain Revit templates, details, and graphic standards.
• Generate bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking.
• Collaborate with operations, GC, and MEP teams; meet schedules.
