Job summary

DBR in Austin is seeking an Electrical Designer I to support design teams and produce construction documents. You will apply DBR design standards, work with BIM staff, and prepare preliminary task lists and drawings for development.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field (or technical degree with experience), familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD, and strong organizational and communication skills to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Technical/Associate Degree with 1 year related work experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide design assistance on projects per DBR design standards.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for incorporation into final drawings.
• Incorporate design concepts from schematic design into development drawings and coordinate with the project team.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and BIM staff to produce construction documents.
• Review calculations with Technical/Training Mentor and ensure drawings meet standards.
