Job summary
Jacobs seeks an experienced Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Engineer to lead BIM and digital delivery in our Advanced Manufacturing Group. This site-based role allows a flexible home-office location within the U.S., and you will manage BIM execution, 3D/4D/5D integration, coordinating with design and construction teams on EPCM projects near Corpus Christi, TX.
The role demands 7+ years in VDC/BIM, a Bachelor's in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management, and proficiency with Revit,
Qualifications
- 7+ years in VDC/BIM roles within construction.
- Proficiency with BIM technologies in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management.
- Proficient in BIM software and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Onsite leadership of VDC activities and coordination with teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work on site near Corpus Christi, TX.
Responsibilities
- Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery leadership and management.
- Define digital delivery scope for project estimates and setup.
- Lead and coordinate BIM execution plans (EPCM).
- Integrate 3D logistics, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost take-offs.
- Manage Common Data Environment from design to construction.
- Lead clash detection meetings and resolution with teams.
- Coordinate laser scan data integration and Scan-to-BIM efforts.
- Oversee model redline, as-built processes and field trainings.
