Job summary

Sol Systems is seeking a full-time Utility Scale Project Manager to deliver utility-scale solar projects from pre-NTP through commercial operation and completion. Based in Washington, DC with monthly site travel, you will manage EPC contractors, Owner’s engineers, and key stakeholders to meet safety, schedule, and cost targets.

You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and reporting, aiming for high-quality delivery and strong financial performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in energy or renewable energy project management.
• Experience with Owner/Rep or General Contractor environments.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Valid Driver’s License and OSHA 10 certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from NTP to Final Completion with safety, schedule, and budget focus.
• Manage EPC contractors, Owner’s Engineers, and key stakeholders.
• Develop and track schedules; mitigate risks affecting milestones.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental commitments, and safety standards.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover.
• Provide executive reporting on project health, risks, and financials.
• Lead project meetings, site visits, and quality control inspections.
