Job summary

Weinstein Properties in Richmond, VA is seeking a Utility Billing Accountant for our property management team. This is a hybrid role with two in-office days per week and a Monday–Friday schedule, reporting to the Utility Manager.

You will calculate and process resident water/sewer charges monthly, identify billing discrepancies, coordinate with vendors and onsite teams, and enter utility invoices into the payable system.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and using formulas.
• Excellent communication and overall computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Calculating and processing resident water/sewer charges on a monthly basis.
• Assists in identifying and resolving utility billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors and onsite property teams to resolve utility issues.
• Enter utility (water/sewer, gas and electric) invoices into payable system.
• Assist with monthly financial statement review including review of the general ledger and processing month end journal entries.
• Special projects and other duties, as assigned by Utility Manager.
