Job summary

Zurich North America offers 10- to 12-week full-time summer internships from May to September in areas like Actuarial, Claims, Corporate Communications, Finance, HR IT, Marketing, Operations, Predictive Analytics and Underwriting. Interns gain real project experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities while earning competitive pay and benefits.

Interns will learn underwriting basics, financial reporting, Power BI usage, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship.
• Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting basics – Mentor will teach what an underwriter does by topic
• Basic business unit financial reporting
• Financial reports for upcoming meetings through UW Desktop and Power BI
• Pipeline management
• Preparation and participation in presentations and stewardship meetings
• Loss summary review and inputs
• Attending a broker meeting with Mentor
