Job summary

Zurich North America offers an Underwriting Internship for Summer 2027 in Maitland. You work under experienced underwriters, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact customers and communities.

You will learn underwriting fundamentals, support financial reporting and analysis, and assist with reports using underwriting and BI tools. Expect mentorship, networking, and exposure to a global insurance leader.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Currently enrolled and will be enrolled in Fall 2027; rising Junior or Senior.
• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and BI tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
