Job summary

Consor is seeking a student intern in California to support civil engineering tasks, assist with project research, and perform preliminary design calculations. You will help collect and maintain project documentation and contribute to delivering project work, reporting to the project manager.

This hybrid internship operates between an office and field environment, with exposure to weather and site conditions as needed. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple civil engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET accredited university working towards a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Completed core civil engineering coursework and currently taking upper-level division coursework.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of reports, cost estimates, specifications, design calculations, and construction material quantities.
• Use CAD/engineering software to draft working plans and detailed drawings.
• Analyze and revise maps, charts, diagrams, and layouts for design projects.
• Participate in support tasks during construction such as responding to submittals and RFIs.
• Visit project sites as a member of the design team.
