Job summary

Consor is seeking a Drainage Design Engineer to develop and review drainage systems for transportation projects in the Houston area. You will apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles to storm sewer, culvert, and detention design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and resilient infrastructure.

The role requires 5–10 years of TxDOT drainage experience and a PE license. Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 5-10 years of transportation drainage experience with TxDOT is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCad, and Civil3D is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and technical reports for transportation projects.
• Apply drainage design standards and agency guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage modeling, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs for assigned projects.
• Use industry-standard modeling software to evaluate drainage performance and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies to integrate drainage requirements into project design.
• Assist with QA reviews and respond to drainage-related design comments during plan development.
