Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of directly related experience.
• Experience with power system transmission analysis tools (PSSE, TARA, ASPEN, PSCAD) and Python.

Responsibilities

• With guidance develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and modification of electrical system parameters.
• Conduct adequacy assessments and develop options to meet delivery objectives with independent action.
• Understand and apply industry and corporate transmission planning standards and regulations.
• Represent the department on industry committees.
• Collaborate with ISO‑NE and other utilities on regional studies.
• Work with teams across System Planning and Electric Operations to provide technical support.
• Plan, develop and manage lifecycle for transmission assets.
• Communicate results clearly in writing and verbally.
