Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead transmission and distribution initiatives. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, oversee budgets, safety, schedules, and client satisfaction through the full project lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in electric utilities and 7+ years in PM of transmission projects, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Hybrid work model with relocation support may apply.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering or management/business degree required.
• 10+ years in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
• 7+ years in project management of utility transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to manage project life cycle.
• Oversee project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Direct the project team, mentor and coach team members.
• Build relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support reporting of KPIs for schedule, budget, and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk and change.
• Communicate and consult with stakeholders and supervisors.
• Prepare reports to present project information clearly and meet client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
