Job summary

Southwest Power Pool, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I, Transmission Planning in Little Rock to support planning models, simulations, and tariff studies as part of a dynamic team.

You will learn the SPP tools, contribute to reliability and economic analyses, and coordinate with senior engineers to advance projects. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, with travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a calculus-based engineering field or ABET-accredited program.
• Preference for ABET-accredited university or related graduate degree.
• PE license preferred or in consideration for professional advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist more experienced engineers with planning models and simulations.
• Learn and apply transmission planning software tools and analyses.
• Support tariff studies and special studies as assigned by the team.
• Develop basic stakeholder relationships and document work status.
