The Transmission Design Analyst plays a key role in shaping and analyzing transmission market design within SPP. The role is responsible for evaluating current transmission market structures, analyzing proposed changes, and supporting SPP Working Groups through facilitation and in‑depth market analysis. This position collaborates with Operations, Legal, Regulatory, Settlements, Training, Engineering, Planning, and Markets teams to ensure alignment across policies, products, processes, and software.
The role also engages with market participants, transmission owners, vendors, FERC, and other RTOs/ISOs to influence transmission market policy and design. Responsibilities include facilitating discussions and presenting market design changes to stakeholder committees and groups.
