Job description

We’re supporting a growing Energy Consulting organization looking to add a Transmission Planning Engineer to its team!

The role will focus on bulk power system studies supporting transmission planning and interconnection projects, with a strong preference for experience across SPP and/or WECC.

Requirements

3+ years of Transmission planning, power flow, contingency, transfer capability, stability and/or interconnection studies
Experience working within SPP and/or WECC
Hands‑on use of TARA, PowerWorld, PSSE, or PSLF
Background with a utility, ISO/RTO, or power systems consultancy
Familiarity with NERC planning standards and transmission planning criteria
Strong mix of technical and communication skills
