ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to provide mid-level engineering expertise on high-voltage transmission design projects.

The role involves line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, and coordination with vendors and stakeholders to ensure constructability and compliance with applicable codes. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering, has 4+ years of HV transmission experience, and is proficient with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry required.
• Experience in using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines required.
• Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.
• Experience liaising with substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.
• Ability to apply engineering theories and principles.
• Strong ability to research engineering issues, evaluate alternatives, and present findings.
• Respect for safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Self-starter who thrives in unstructured, deadline-driven environments.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve PLS-CADD Criteria.
• Schedule project tasks for project support team.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings.
• Complete design review meetings with the client.
• Attend internal design review meetings.
