Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, seeks a Project Engineer to provide mid-level engineering expertise on HV overhead transmission projects. You will prepare and review line routing, surveys, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearances, and procurement while coordinating with stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 4+ years of transmission experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering required.
• PE certification preferred.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry required.
• Experience using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines required.
• Familiarity with NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI standards.
• Ability to liaise with substations, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria.
• Schedule project tasks for the project support team.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings and participate in design reviews.
• Coordinate with design teams and clients to ensure project goals are met.
