Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Related engineering, internship or co-op work experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• 1+ years of experience in transmission line engineering or a Master’s degree.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles and production of technical plans and drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Perform foundation designs.
• Conductor selection, shielding, grounding and induction studies.
• Develop cost estimates and procurement specifications.
• Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD and develop plan/profile drawings.
• Review vendor submittals.
