Sargent & Lundy seeks a Transmission Line Engineer to apply expertise in high-voltage line design and analysis. You will design lines from 69kV to 765kV and perform structural and foundation work, conductor studies, and cost estimating. Proficiency with PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE and strong communication are essential.

This hybrid role requires in-office work 3 days per week and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on diverse projects across the power sector.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Internship, co-op, or related engineering experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• 1+ year in transmission line engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and technical drawing methods.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Design transmission lines in 69kV–765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Perform foundation designs for transmission lines.
• Conductor selection, shielding, grounding, and induction studies.
• Develop costs, schedules, and specifications for procurement.
• Specify transmission line components and model lines in PLS-CADD.
• Review vendor submittals.
