Job summary

UAMPS is seeking a Transmission Associate/Specialist to help administer contracts, monitor interconnections, and coordinate with members and providers. The role supports planning, regulatory activities, and strategic initiatives while ensuring alignment with UAMPS’ mission and service obligations.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is required.
• Knowledge of power, transmission, and utility operations.
• Experience with transmission planning, interconnection processes, and regulatory workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of transmission contracts and arrangements.
• Monitors transmission contracts, rights, and assets.
• Supports load/resource interconnection processes and generator interconnection applications.
• Supports transmission service reservations and related processes.
• Maintains relationships with members, providers, and external partners.
