Job summary

King County Metro Transit is seeking a Transit Project Control Engineer I to support the Capital Improvement Program. You will review invoices, gather contract data in CMRS, draft change orders, and maintain logs for submittals and RFI requests.

The role combines contract administration, scheduling, and reporting within a dynamic CIP team. Ideal candidates have at least one year in contract/project administration or a related degree, strong organization, and familiarity with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of contract/project administration or project controls experience in a design/construction setting, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze invoices for contract compliance; process payments and routing per authority.
  • Maintain data for contracts in CMRS within Metro Transit's Capital Management Reporting System.
  • Prepare closeout docs, change orders, and amendments with required support.
