Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking an Admissions Transfer Counselor to connect prospective students and families with higher education opportunities. You will engage with community colleges, counselors, and students, guiding them through admissions, financial aid, and enrollment processes in a hybrid work setting with some in-person campus presence on Maricopa Community College campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional-level experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Fingerprint clearance required and to be completed once hired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
• Position requires frequent travel for work and driving of personal and university vehicles.
• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Bilingual spoken and conversational Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel and Territory Management: create and track recruitment plans for assigned territories, including Phoenix and Northern Arizona community colleges.
• Communication and Recruitment Outreach: engage with prospective students, counselors, parents, and other constituents; manage communications and records.
• Relationship Building: develop positive relationships with educational institutions and counseling contacts.
• Strategic Recruitment: design initiatives to promote transfer admissions and coordinate events.
• Application Review: participate in admissions decisions and use CRM tools to maintain data-driven processes.
