Job summary

Seattle University seeks a Transfer Admissions Counselor to manage recruitment, travel, and outreach for undergraduate admissions. You will present academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, and advisors through sessions, emails, calls, and meetings, and work with campus partners to meet enrollment goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least 1 year of professional experience, strong organizational and communication skills, willingness to travel and work

Qualifications

• Must possess well-developed organizational skills.
• Confidence in public speaking to both large and small groups.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and supporting diverse student populations.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Willingness to learn quickly, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide information about the University's academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders through presentations, emails, calls, and one on one conversation.
• Plan, develop, and implement on and off campus recruitment travel and activities.
• Meet with prospective students through campus visits, information sessions, and workshops.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to meet undergraduate enrollment goals.
• Engage in efforts to make higher education more accessible, equitable, and inclusive.
• Travel 10–12 weeks in state and out of state, mostly in the Puget Sound region.
