Stanley Consultants is a global engineering firm seeking a Traffic Engineer in Denver, CO. You will work in traffic engineering, safety, and ITS, developing technical solutions and mentoring younger engineers.

The role emphasizes project leadership, client relations, and delivering creative approaches to project development while serving as a technical expert in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; MSCE a plus.
• 4+ years in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or ITS.
• Colorado PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Familiarity with MUTCD and AASHTO Green Book.
• Experience with DOT/local agency projects preferred.
• Proficiency with SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA, VISTRO.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager, Project Lead, or Task Lead for traffic and safety projects.
• Prepare traffic impact studies, signal warrants, intersection design, safety studies, and bicycle planning.
• Prepare traffic signal design plans for intersections, sequencing, markings, signing, lighting, and traffic control plans.
• Provide technical assistance and QA on traffic studies and designs.
• Support local and national practice areas with traffic engineering expertise.
• Supervise and mentor younger engineers.
• Represent Stanley Consultants at technical meetings with agencies, clients, and contractors.
