Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Austin/San Antonio area. The hybrid role focuses on leading traffic studies, design plans, and ITS projects while developing key client relationships.

Required qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, PE licensure, and 7–15 years in traffic/ITS. Proficiency with leading software and familiarity with DOT projects will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; MS preferred but not required.
• Requires 7–15 years of traffic engineering / ITS experience.
• PE license in state of residence is required.
• ITE or similar professional organization membership.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of traffic studies and design plans including signals, lighting, signing, pavement markings, ITS infrastructure, sequencing, and traffic control plans.
• Assist with major pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with traffic engineering and ITS clients.
• Provide QA/QC oversight on studies and designs led by other PMs.
