Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred but not required.
• 7–15 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and ITS.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in state of residence.
• ITE membership or other traffic engineering organizations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Lead or Task Lead in developing traffic studies and design plans (signals, lighting, signing, pavement markings, ITS, construction sequencing, traffic control).
• Assist with major project pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with traffic engineering and ITS clients.
• Provide technical assistance and quality control on studies and projects managed by others.
• Support local and national ITS practice areas with traffic engineering input.
• Serve as the local office expert in your area of expertise.
• Assist other offices with pursuits and client relationships.
• Represent Stanley Consultants in technical meetings with agencies, clients, and contractors.
