Zusammenfassung

Acuity seeks a seasoned Trade Compliance Lead to oversee US, Mexico, Canada, and LATAM regulatory adherence. You will manage HTSUS/ECCN classifications, country of origin determinations, and FTA qualification, while guiding audits and process improvements across the Americas.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in trade compliance, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits in a hybrid corporate setting.

Qualifikationen

• Clear and compelling written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in HTSUS classification, ECCN classification, customs valuation, country of origin determinations, free trade agreement qualification, duty drawback, and U.S. export controls (EAR).
• In-depth knowledge of USHTS/HS, country of origin requirements, free trade agreements, and U.S. EAR.
• Working knowledge of ACE and SNAP-R.
• Familiarity with the LATAM import/export environment.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams to implement system changes based on user or legal requirements.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to present conclusions clearly and effectively based on the intended audience and context.
• Strong understanding of the relevant regulatory environment, its impact on QSC, and how to develop, improve, and execute effective trade compliance programs.
• Ability to promote and maintain a strong compliance culture and ethical business practices.

Aufgaben

• Customs Classification, Country of Origin & Trade Determinations: HTSUS classifications, customs valuation reviews, origin determinations, and regulatory assessments across the Americas.
• Export Controls & ECCN Classification: ECCN classifications, export licensing, EAR reviews, denied party screening, and export control assessments.
• FTA, TAA, & Special Trade Programs: Administer USMCA etc. qualification analyses and tariff mitigation.
• Import Compliance, Duty Drawback, Reconciliation & Post Entry Activities: import reviews, PSCs, duty drawback claims, broker oversight, entry validations.
• Audit, Risk Assessments & Internal Controls: lead audits, risk assessments, corrective action plans, CBP/BIS/internal audits.
• Process Improvement, Training & Stakeholder Support: develop procedures, SOPs, controls, and training for classification, valuation, and duties.
• Regulatory Monitoring & Trade Compliance Advisory: monitor changes, communicate updates, advise stakeholders, and enhance controls.
