Job summary

Citizens Energy Group is seeking a Thermal Engineering Intern to support engineering staff with data analysis, design, and technical support for the Thermal business. The role may involve plant maintenance or distribution projects for Steam and/or Chilled Water, with optional hybrid work arrangements and in-person program events.

You will work under engineering leaders, gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development while contributing to ongoing operations and improvement

Qualifications

• Active college/university enrollment with emphasis in engineering, science, environmental studies, construction management, or related field.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher is required.
• Ability to work both remotely and in-person at Thermal plants and/or distribution sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, and Citizens policies.
• Contribute to basic engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, and studies.
• Perform routine research and provide recommendations for equipment/materials selection.
• Collect and manage data for engineering work.
• Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
