Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is hiring a Test Engineer to develop and execute test programs for the NuScale Microreactor, leveraging contracted resources to advance design, certification, manufacture, and deployment. You will help mature technology, reduce risk, and qualify reactor components and instrumentation.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers, review of test specifications, budget planning, and leadership in design reviews, while adhering to high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in testing programs for hardware or devices.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute test programs including concept, component, performance, functional, and environmental qualification.
• Review test specifications, approve supplier test procedures, oversee test execution, and review data.
• Manage small projects and oversee progression from supplier evaluation to contract close-out.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, statements of work, and test reports.
• Lead design reviews of test hardware and analyze validation data.
