NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a NSSS Mechanical Systems Engineer to contribute to the NuScale Power Module System Design, focusing on NSSS component design, inspection and testing in accordance with nuclear codes.

The role reports to the Manager, NSSS System Design, collaborates across disciplines, prepares engineering documents, and supports licensing scope. Domestic travel may be required; some remote work may be available within the continental United States.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university required.
• EIT certification or PE license desirable, but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time relevant experience with strong writing skills.
• Solid knowledge of ASME Codes/Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in NSSS system/component design, inspection and testing.

Responsabilités

• Generate technical requirements for NSSS systems, structures and components.
• Prepare and review engineering specifications, drawings, reports and calculations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve design issues.
• Communicate design and testing results with stakeholders.
• Travel nationally to support business needs.
