Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and execute test programs that support the NuScale Microreactor from design through deployment. The role involves managing supplier tests, budgeting, and coordinating documentation while ensuring safety culture and quality assurance per regulatory standards.

The position requires a BS in a relevant engineering discipline, 2+ years of test program experience, and eligibility under 10 CFR Part 810.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and executes various test programs including proof-of-concept, component, performance, functional, compliance, reliability, and environmental qualification.
• Participates in test planning, development and review of test specification, approval of supplier test procedures, oversight of test execution, data review, and data acceptance.
• Manages small projects and oversees test project progression through supplier evaluation, contract execution, design, implementation, testing, reporting, data acceptance, and contract close out.
• Prepares test program budgets, schedules, resource requirements, statements-of-work, requests for quote, test specifications, and test reports.
• Leads and reviews design drawings, sketches, schematics, procedures, results, reports, and documentation.
• Leads test hardware design reviews for small projects and resolves comments stemming from these reviews.
• Analyzes test data and validation efforts that utilize test data.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
