Job summary

Nationwide’s Technology team in Scottsdale seeks a Network Engineer to install, refresh, break/fix, and cabling for network systems. You’ll monitor health, triage incidents, and perform maintenance to ensure reliability.

The role requires on-site presence with occasional travel, after-hours work, and close collaboration with CRE, NRI, and third-party providers. A strong network background and problem-solving mindset are essential.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years IT operations and/or network support experience.
Proven network engineering and support experience.
Demonstrable network administration experience.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with high business impact.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical capability to lift/install network equipment.

Responsibilities

Point of Contact for Network at Scottsdale: on-site support for installations, refreshes, break/fix, and cabling.
Act as steward of Network MDF and IDF, ensuring cabling standards and documentation.
Serve as point of contact for network carrier activities and third-party providers.
Collaborate with CRE, NRI and Protective Services for technology needs at Scottsdale.
Triages and resolves network incidents; performs maintenance on network infrastructure.
Provide after-hours provisioning and break/fix activities as needed.
Attend project meetings and travel to other sites for network work as required.
