Job summary

Fortress Safety is expanding its Northeast US presence with a hybrid/remote role for a technically-minded Sales Engineer. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to solution design and close across Baltimore to Boston, including NYC, Philadelphia, Hartford, and Providence.

The position requires a Mechanical/Electromechanical engineering background, strong sales drive, and the ability to travel up to 40% to meet customers and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar client-facing role.
• Proven track record of new business development and meeting sales targets.
• Domain experience in Machinery Safety, Warehouse Automation, or Food & Beverage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to translate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new client opportunities within the territory.
• Develop strategic plans to penetrate target markets and expand Fortress's footprint.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads with marketing support.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and present tailored solutions with ROI-focused demos.
• Coordinate with internal teams to translate customer insights into improvements.
