Job summary

The New York Public Library is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead agile teams responsible for critical digital access projects within Institutional Services. This grant-funded, four-year role emphasizes delivering secure, scalable solutions for digital library cards, educational services, and single sign-on.

The position is hybrid, requiring three in-office days in NYC, with a strong focus on risk management, stakeholder alignment, and end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience managing software/web projects as PM/TPM.
• PMP and/or CSM certification is preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in project or program management with software/web teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development processes from inception through delivery.
• Develop communication and capacity plans, timelines, and status updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Lead all scrum ceremonies, enabling rapid product development.
• Oversee partner vendors or agencies involved in delivery.
• Support annual and quarterly roadmapping for Institutional Services.
• Own progress tracking of established goals and adjust plans as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
