Job summary

NEW YORK LIBRARY ASSOCIATION is seeking a Digital Services Coordinator and IT Librarian to manage digital resources, support technology operations, and provide training for staff and patrons.

The role emphasizes digital services, emerging technologies, and daily IT coordination, with responsibilities across reference, readers’ advisory, and community outreach. Evening/weekend flexibility is required and collaboration with the Executive Director and Technology Services Manager is essential.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited school preferred; may consider students.
• NYS Public Librarian Certification or eligibility.
• Demonstrated advanced technology skills and aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate digital resources implementation, access, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Manage digital reading platforms and support reading initiatives.
• Develop and deliver technology instruction and library programs for patrons and staff.
• Provide excellent reference and readers’ advisory services.
• Maintain IT ticketing system and assist with network operations and cybersecurity awareness.
