Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Technical Designer in Construction Engineering to develop Building Information Models (BIM) and structural systems for construction-phase work. The role involves model-based erection procedures, detailing (LOD400), and interoperability with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models.

Responsibilities include clash detection, project team collaboration, audits of model content, and adherence to standards, while supporting constructability and budget

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in advanced digital workflows in the AEC industry
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural preferred
• Experience with BIM, parametric modeling, and interoperability; Tekla required; Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop Building Information Models (BIM) and structural systems for construction phase projects
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with project team to resolve clashes
• Audit models for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards
• Understand constructability issues and project-specific detailing
• Maintain budgetary objectives of the project
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers and designers
