Job summary

Walter P Moore seeks a qualified Technical Designer to develop BIM and erection procedures for structural systems during construction. You will coordinate with architects, contractors, and owners to ensure accurate, fabrication-level detailing (LOD400) for steel, concrete, and light gauge systems.

Responsibilities include clash detection, modeling to standards, and documenting digital implementation across design and construction phases, with a focus on constructability and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in developing and applying advanced digital workflows in the AEC industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural preferred.
• Experience with BIM, parametric modeling, and interoperability required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Building Information Models (BIM), engineering elements, and structural systems during construction.
• Perform clash detection against reference models and track and resolve clashes.
• Plan and document project-specific digital implementation across analysis, design, documentation, fabrication, and construction models.
• Audit models after key milestones for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Maintain understanding of building systems and detailing conventions.
