Job summary

Walter P Moore seeks a Technical Designer for Construction Engineering to develop BIM and fabrication-level detailing across steel, concrete, and light gauge systems. You will support construction-phase modeling and coordinate with architects, contractors, and owners, delivering accurate digital content and clash-free models.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience applying advanced digital workflows in the AEC industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural preferred.
• Experience with BIM, parametric modeling, and interoperability required; Tekla experience required; Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BIM information; interoperate with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models.
• Perform clash detection and resolve clashes with internal team.
• Plan and document project-specific digital implementation for analysis, design, documentation, fabrication, and construction models.
• Audit models after milestones for accuracy, consistency, and standards adherence.
• Understand key building systems and constructability issues; maintain project budget; perform other duties.
