Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Engineer in the United States. You will support design-in with technical and application expertise, collaborate with sales, and help advance Murata’s position across product groups and technologies.

You will promote products, prepare technical materials, and train teams while staying abreast of market trends and opportunities to grow Murata’s share in North America. Hybrid work arrangement from San Jose, CA is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills to work among individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong time management, judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Enable design-in by providing effective technical and application support to customers.
• Recognize and define opportunities for new products or changes to meet market needs.
• Manage product specifications with customers in cooperation with local sales resources and product divisions.
• Track competitors’ activities to develop countermeasures and increase Murata’s market share.
• Study market needs and trends to ascertain impact and help Murata maintain industry leadership.
