Great American Insurance Group is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join the Emerging Technology & Innovation team. This hybrid role blends in-office & remote work to turn ambiguity into clear direction, guiding PoVs and transitioning validated concepts into scalable business capabilities.

You will bridge business insight with technical analysis, collaborating with product, engineering and data teams to define MVP scope and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Coursework or certifications in business analysis, product management, agile methodologies, or user-centered design are a plus.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role, preferably in Property & Casualty insurance.
• Experience translating ambiguous needs into actionable requirements, product direction, and backlog content.
• Experience with PoVs, pilots, innovation initiatives, or emerging technology evaluations, including transitioning concepts into production-ready capabilities.
• Strong collaboration across business, product, technical, and vendor teams in agile environments.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and platforms such as Rally, Power BI, Visio, or similar tools is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Discovery, Research & Product Planning with stakeholders.
• Research emerging technologies, vendor capabilities, and market trends.
• Translate ideas into problem statements, briefs, user stories, and backlog items.
• Lead opportunities from PoV through evaluation, business case, and transition to scalable solutions.
• Monitor technology trends and support strategic planning and investments.
• Partner with product, engineering, data, automation, vendor, and business teams to define MVP scope and success measures.
• Support pilots, PoVs, and implementations from concept to deployment.
• Facilitate collaboration to remove ambiguity and align priorities.
• Utilize AI-powered analysis and visuals to guide decisions.
