Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Technical Architectural Designer for NYC or Maitland, FL offices. The role focuses on corporate/commercial workplace interiors and retail banking interiors, offering a hybrid schedule and strong project exposure.

The candidate will lead site surveys, code reviews, and construction documentation, coordinating with clients, landlords, and consultants, and guiding bid responses and RFI handling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; MA a plus.
• 5–8 years of continuous professional technical experience in Corporate / Commercial Workplace / Retail Interiors.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Full understanding of contract documents and standards.
• Strong knowledge of x-refs, layers, and layer management.
• Knowledge of NYC/IBC Building Codes and NYC Zoning.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented mindset with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Site survey and documentation.
• General site code review (egress, fixture counts, path of travel).
• Prepare budget scope drawings and specifications.
• Technical coordination with the design team.
• Full construction documentation including detailing and specifications.
• Coordination with client, landlord, and consultants.
• Redline review of construction documents.
• Issue and distribute documentation; respond to bidder questions.
• Attend weekly project meetings and respond to RFIs.
• Site inspections and layout approvals; coordinate revisions and addenda.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; punchlist inspection and distribution.
• Assist in project close-out documentation.
