Job summary

Wiley|Wilson in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a Technology Systems Project Designer to design telecommunications networks, structured cabling, AV, and electronic security for vertical building projects. You’ll collaborate with senior Technology Systems staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs while growing your technical expertise.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in these designs in the AEC industry, with an Associate’s or higher in engineering/architecture, and strong

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience designing telecommunications networks, structured cabling, AV, and electronic security for vertical building projects.
Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is required.
An Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Design telecommunications networks, structured cabling, AV, and electronic security systems for a variety of projects.
Develop and coordinate Revit models and construction documents.
Collaborate with senior Technology Systems staff to deliver quality designs and develop technical expertise.
Attend client and project meetings to coordinate items related to project scope and design. Approximate travel requirement 10%-15%.
Coordinate Technology Systems designs with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with project quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
