Job summary

Target Tech seeks a Lead Strategist to shape and accelerate strategic work across Target’s Technology organization. You will partner with senior leaders to frame complex problems, translate direction into priorities, and drive measurable outcomes across multi-year priorities.

You will lead governance, planning, and execution of critical initiatives, aligning teams and resources, while communicating clear narratives to stakeholders. This hybrid role blends strategy and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, program leadership, technology, operations, or related fields.
• Proven experience developing strategy and shaping strategic direction, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex information, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Structure ambiguous strategic questions, define the approach required to solve them, and develop strategies and recommendations through research, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of options and tradeoffs.
• Lead complex strategic initiatives from framing through execution, establishing clear outcomes, plans, governance, decision architecture, and accountability.
• Anticipate organizational implications of strategic initiatives and help leaders and teams navigate significant change.
• Connect signals and insights across Technology, the enterprise, and external environment to identify emerging themes, opportunities, and risks.
