Job summary

Elevance Health, Inc. is seeking a Legal Counsel – Technology to advise on enterprise-wide technology matters, including AI, SaaS, and data use, and to support the development, use and sale of digital health products and services.

The role requires collaboration with the Technology Legal Team, drafting and negotiating Master Service Agreements, SOWs, SaaS agreements and related documents, and providing risk analysis to business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires JD and current license to practice law.
• Minimum 3 years of industry/tech legal experience post licensure or equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Technology Legal Team.
• Provide legal advice on technology law topics including AI, SaaS, software as a medical device, product development lifecycle, and data use; coordinate with business attorneys.
• Negotiate contracts: Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, SaaS Agreements, MOUs, and Partner Agreements for technology products and services.
• Advise clients on legal risks and propose risk mitigation options; implement with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain contract templates and negotiation playbooks with technology legal peers.
• Review and advise sales on responses to client RFPs for tech services/products aligned with delivery strategy.
• Analyze regulatory changes and provide strategic legal analysis with mitigating controls.
• Research and support strategic positions on technology use and provide internal education on legal issues.
• Prioritize competing priorities and maintain high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
