Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Tax Manager to support our Richmond, VA market on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days/week in office). The successful candidate will manage tax compliance needs, anticipate issues, and recognize planning opportunities while serving as the main client contact.

The role includes training and developing staff, managing engagements, and reviewing complex returns in a collaborative environment. CPA certification and managerial experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certification with active license.
• 5+ years public accounting with at least 2 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main client contact and manage workflows, deadlines and deliverables.
• Review complex returns including tax provision work with a senior staff.
• Lead Tax Staff and Seniors in a dynamic advisory environment.
• Provide training and development for junior staff.
• Deliver superior client service and proactive tax planning opportunities.
