Cherry Bekaert's Houston office is seeking a Tax Manager to support our Core Tax Services team on a hybrid schedule (average 3 days/week in office). You will lead tax compliance for clients across industries and serve as main client contact.You bring a CPA license, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and at least five years in public accounting with two years of managerial experience. You'll mentor staff and help identify planning opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPA license and public accounting background are required.
• At least 5 years in public accounting with a minimum of 2 years in managerial roles.
• Strong understanding of pass-through entity taxation and partnership taxation.

Responsabilités

• Lead engagements and review complex returns including tax provision work.
• Manage client workflows, deadlines, delivery and communications.
• Train and develop less experienced staff.
• Supervise Tax Staff and Seniors in a dynamic environment.
• Provide superior client service and issue spotting.
