Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's Core Tax Services team in Austin, TX is seeking a Tax Manager on a hybrid schedule (about three days in the office). You will manage client tax compliance, anticipate tax issues, and identify planning opportunities while serving as the main client contact.

You will lead and train staff, review complex returns including tax provisions, and collaborate across industries. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA license, at least 5 years in public accounting with 2+

Qualifications

• CPA certification with an active license.
• Minimum 5 years in public accounting with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of pass-through entity taxation and partnership equity investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements and provide review of complex returns including tax provision work.
• Solve tax issues and leverage project management, analytics, and communication skills.
• Lead Tax Staff and Seniors in a dynamic environment and ensure superior client service.
• Manage client relationships, workflows, deadlines and deliverables.
• Train and develop less experienced professional staff.
