Job summary

The American Academy of Pediatrics in Itasca, IL seeks a Talent Development Specialist to identify, coordinate, and facilitate training programs for staff, applying adult learning principles and collaborating with SMEs to create curricula and communications.

You will maintain LinkedIn Learning and HR platforms, support onboarding and leadership development, manage training budgets, and monitor completion rates and program effectiveness, including leveraging AI for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in adult education, training and development or related discipline.
• At least three years' related experience coordinating, developing, and facilitating live and virtual training programs.
• Experience with adult learning principles, instructional design, onboarding, learning technologies, and employee engagement.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, diplomacy, project management, presentation and communication skills.
• Experience with LMS/HRIS and performance management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing employee training and development needs through feedback and data.
• Identify and recommend education programs and resources to strengthen competencies.
• Collaborate with SMEs and external partners to create and refine training content.
• Utilize various training methodologies and learning tools to maximize effectiveness.
• Maintain learning platforms, schedule training, and monitor completion rates for compliance.
• Provide guidance on resources for staff development and onboarding programs.
• Coordinate development and delivery of training related to policies and systems.
• Support leadership development and performance management initiatives.
• Assist with annual performance reviews and engagement surveys.
